1. in addition (to sb./sth.) 另外，也，除……以外（还）。例如：

In addition to swimming, she likes playing the guitar.除了游泳外，她还喜欢弹吉它。

注意：

in addition单独使用时相当于连接副词，而in addition to则相当于介词。

2. besides

（1）作介词，意为“除……之外（还）”（相当于in addition to）。例如：

Ive got no family besides my parents.除了父母，我没有其他亲人。

（2）作副词，意为“除此之外，而且”（相当于in addition）。同义词有moreover，furthermore，additionally等。例如：

You can taste lots of baked things and take home a lot of cookies besides.你可以品尝许多烘烤食品，此外还能带许多饼干回家。
